Terms of Service

HobiiDex is a trading-card collection tracker operated in partnership with Hobii House. It lets you catalog your collection, browse card data and market prices, and — with the optional HobiiDex Vision subscription — add cards using your camera. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use the service.

You need an account to use HobiiDex. Keep your sign-in method secure and use an email address you actually control — subscription purchases are matched to your account by email. Accounts are for individual people; don’t share an account or create accounts to evade limits. You’re responsible for activity that happens under your account.

HobiiDex Vision is an optional subscription (currently $3.00/month plus any applicable tax) that enables camera scanning, with a monthly allowance of 300 scans. The allowance resets each billing cycle and unused scans do not roll over. Optional top-up credit bundles can be purchased separately; top-up credits don’t expire and are used after your monthly allowance runs out. A scan is counted per photo submitted.

Payments are processed by Shopify through the Hobii House store — HobiiDex never receives or stores your card details. Subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled. You can cancel any time from your store account (the “Manage subscription” link on your Account page); cancellation stops future charges and your access continues through the period you already paid for, then ends. Prices may change with reasonable advance notice; changes apply from your next billing cycle.

The scan allowance is a fair-use guard. Automated, scripted, or bulk-machine submission of images, or circumventing quotas, isn’t permitted.

Subscription charges are generally non-refundable once a billing period has started, but if something went wrong — a billing mistake, a duplicate charge, a service problem — contact us and we’ll sort it out reasonably. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under applicable law.

Your collection data belongs to you. Card catalog information, images, and market prices come from third-party sources, are provided for informational purposes only, may be inaccurate or out of date, and are not financial, investment, or appraisal advice. Don’t scrape, bulk-export, or resell the catalog or pricing data.

Don’t abuse the service: no attempts to breach security, disrupt operation, access other users’ data, reverse-engineer paid features, or use the service for anything unlawful. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

HobiiDex is a young, actively developed service. Features may change, be added, or be removed, and we may modify or discontinue parts of the service. If we ever discontinue the paid subscription entirely, we’ll stop future billing.

The service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, USA. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. We may update these terms; material changes will be reflected on this page with a new “last updated” date, and continued use after changes means you accept them.
